Tracey-Jane

I’m Tracey-Jane Hughes, known as T-J, who lives in Chorley, Lancashire, England with my husband and 2 boys under 10.

I’ve been running my own specialist bra business, bras4mums and bras4all, for 3 years now having experienced awful advice when I was breastfeeding No. 2 son. I was so horrified by the lack of information, that I started my own business after I’d trained as a bra fitter!

My previous work experience is as an Assistant Manager with Marks & Spencer, (2 years), Project Director of a small charity in Preston, (2 years), various Management roles with The Princes Trust, with my final role of National Volunteer Manager, (9 years), where I undertook a lot of volunteer training and support, locally and nationally.

I’ve always done some sort of voluntary work, and met my husband through Rotaract (a young Rotary club) which was always fundraising or offering hands on support.

I set up the Preston Child Contact Centre, which opened the week No. 1 was born. This was an extremely exciting and challenging project, which is still running, although I now cannot volunteer due to my business taking up more of my time.

Most of my volunteering is now taken up with developing a new Church and community centre in Chorley. This is probably the most challenging and exciting volunteer role I’ve ever had as it involves developing a new building and generating new projects to support community development.

Other interests include cooking, crafts – especially with my children, camping, walking, wine tasting and gardening. Some of these are a very small part of my life currently, but I hope to have more time next year to tidy the garden up and hopefully grow some more vegetables for us to eat.

Think that’s an overview for you! Any questions, please ask. Here to help and support and share as much as I can.
